Steve Kimball is Publisher, Editor-in-Chief, Captain, Cook, Carpenter, and Cabinboy. T'was Steve's idea to create a magazine "for pyrates, by pyrates" and it was his persuasion that shang-hi'd all the folks you see below. Steve has been in the publishing and printing business, as Art Director, for the last 15 years. With a Bachelor's Degree in Publication Design, he knows the magazine business backwards and forwards and has had a hand (whether it be as reporter, photographer, editor, or layout) in Sports Illustrated, Baltimore Magazine, Delaware Today, All Hands Magazine, The Navy Times, The Capital, The Carroll County Times as well as in other publications. Steve wrote "Greenberg's Guide to Super Hero Toys" ( ISBN: 0897780965), published in 1988 and is currently working on several book-related projects. His ten years in the United States Navy as a Navy Photojournalist gave him special insight on all things nautical. Steve, a.k.a. "The Black Fox" is also First Mate on the Pyrate Carrack "Polly Dodger."

Kevin Arrington is our Managing Editor. His 15 years experience as a technical editor has given him the ability to blend great quantities of technical reporting and analytical data into flowing, readable pieces of literature. A self-taught historian in world maritime history, he is a media maniac when it comes to all things pyratical. 20 years experience as a linguist in the U.S. Army, from the Cold War, through Desert Storm and on into service as a faculty member at the U.S. Army Intelligence School and Center have given him a most interesting perspective on the world. He is married to the most understanding woman on the planet, and has two kids in college. His down-time interests include reading world history as well as Clive Cussler and Patrick O'Brian, sailboats, beers of the world, and renaissance and baroque era chamber music.

Brad Howard is one of our resident Content Editors. Brad, famous as Captain Fletcher Moone of The Pyrates Royale, has been fascinated with the world of sailing ships and piracy for over 20 years.

Jamie Piekkola is our Contributing Art Director. Jamie is an accomplished photographer and calls the Minnesota Renaissance Festival his home. In the future, Jamie plans to share his entire Pyrate photo collection as well as an upcoming whale watching adventure with us.
